recipe for ragu cheese sauce
Component:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup ragu pasta sauce (your favorite flavor)
1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instruction:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Once the butter melts, add flour and whisk it continuously till it becomes a smooth paste. Cook the
mixture for about 1 minute to eliminate the taste of raw flour.
Add milk gradually, stirring continuously to prevent lump formation.
Cook the mixture, stirring continuously, till it thickens and comes to a slight boil.
Lower the flame and add ragu pasta sauce to the pan. Stir until the sauce is well combined and heated through.
Slowly add the shredded cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously, until it melts and forms a smooth cheese sauce.
Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper to your liking. Keep in mind that ragu pasta sauce already has some seasoning, so adjust accordingly.
When the cheese melts completely and the sauce becomes soft, take it off the heat.
Serve Ragu Cheese Sauce immediately with cooked pasta, vegetables or any side dish of your choice.
This cheesy sauce is a perfect complement to pasta dishes or as a dip for breadsticks or vegetables. enjoy!
